  1. Colors can be your theme.  I'm having a red wedding and that will be my theme.

Those colors are beautiful by the way.  My friend had the same and it was gorgeous.

  2. you don't need a "theme"

the colors will be the theme

  3. Don't worry about a theme it is not neccesary, just put the wedding together with all the things you and your fiance like and have fun with it. If you stick to a theme then you might have to exclude things that you like or want because it does not go with your set "theme"

  4. I agree that there doesn't have to be a theme, but when I heard your colors, I remembered an art nouveau design I had just looked at (it's the one called "Poppies"): http://www.achome.co.uk/fabrics/voysey_f...

You could use art nouveau as your inspiration, just have your decorations incorporate swirling designs based on plants and flowers, with a little bit of a vintage vibe (art nouveau was the prevalent style during 1890-1905)

Or, you could just use the time of year as your inspiration.  For instance, if you're getting married in the winter, use darker, more muted shades of your colors, heavier fabrics, etc.

  5. That seems somewhat nautical to me, or at least a little beachy and summery. I love th combo of orange and blue, very fresh.

  6. Don't do a theme wedding. Flowers and pretty colors are enough.

  7. Hi.  You don't need a theme.  Most couples do not have a theme.  They do exactly as you are doing.....choose 2 or 3 colors and then build your wedding around those.

Once you have your colors, then coordinate the other elements of your wedding with these, such as:

    ~ bridesmaids dresses

    ~ flowers

    ~ cake

    ~ invitations

    ~ centerpieces

~ table linens and chair covers

    ~ other decorations
