State the number of complex roots, the possible number of real roots, and the possible rational roots for the following equation.

x^3+4x^2+5x-1=0

  1. The two possible rational roots are 1 and -1.

    Neither work, but

    f(0) = - 1 and f(1) =9 which means there is a root between 0 and 1 ( since the graph crosses the x-axis between them)

    f(-2) = -3, f(-1) = 1, f(0)=- 1

    so there is another root between -2 and -1

    and another between -1 and 0.

    No complex roots ( there might have been two)

    1) Look in the back of the book for answer.

    2) Go to class early and ask another student for help

    3) Go to class early and let teacher know this one gave you problems and ask for extra help or ask if she can go over it in class.

    10x(16)-1=0

    10x=15

    a decimal somthing use calculator idk .5 i think
