Usally Offense plays ALL have something in commen. Like we are a midline veer team and odd is left even is right. If you are the QB then you have to know EVERYTING other then that you should be fine. The terminology used all have a meaning. Unless you have a stupid coach then they all relate. I am a high school DC and that can get a little more confusing for my D players. I tell them to break it down to 3 things and I call it the 3 "A"'s.

  Alignment= Where do I line up

  Assignment= What are my keys,reads.

  Action+ What or where do I go when the ball is snapped

Other then that treat it like home work and study. If you have a Video Game that allows you to create plays then put your teams playbook in there so when you are relaxing having fun playing you are still learning..
