  1. Try re setting your router/modem, if you have an adsl connection you should get a new ip address straight away when you reboot, but if you have cable broadband you cant sorry, your ip address stays teh same on cable.

  2. They would use the "outside IP" to get that.  To see your outside IP go to http://www.whatismyipaddress.com

You'd be amazed how much one can find out when you go to a website -- click this link and it'll tell you your IP, OS, Browser, ISP, and various other information.

If you had dial-up it's as easy as disconnecting/reconnecting.

High-speed internet is harder though.  Sometimes unplugging the modem for 10 seconds is enough but most times it won't.

You'll have to ask the ISP how long the IP DHCP lease time is for your modem, it may have to stay unplugged from 24 hours up to a few weeks before you get a different IP address.

Cox Cable you have to leave the modem unplugged for 36 hours last I checked, that's who I have.

  3. Hiding your ip will sort it.

  4. Changing your computer won't help. You need your ISP to assign you a new address. Most consumer ISPs use dynamic IPs, so they will do this every few days; a few use static IPs, so it will never change.

You could try re-booting your router (or modem) - it will often ask the ISP for an IP address when it does that, and you could hope for a new one; or look on your ISP's web site; or ask them to do it for you.

You could also try routing your traffic through a proxy, so the game thinks the traffic came from the proxy server; works for web browsing, don't know if it works for your game.

  5. Reboot your router.  If its an ADSL connection (BT line) then you should pick up a new IP automatically.

It might work, but there are other anticheat /hack techniques used on servers nowadays that can still tell its you.

  6. IP address is like the address of your computer, soz babe you can't change it, unless you get a new computer?

  7. you can't change your i p address but you can hide it by typing the web page link your banned from in the link below...

  8. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proxy_serve...

  9. its easy if you have a bt home hub if you have a home hub Email me i will tell you how i had the same problem as you on empire earth.

  10. There is no fast/easy way to change your external IP. Routers will usually come with options to release/renew your DHCP settings. Sometimes this will force your ISP to lease you a new external IP address.

In the case that it doesn't, you can phone your ISP and ask for a new one if you have a valid reason (cheating in games does not qualify as one). Some ISPs may charge for the releasing of an external IP address.

  11. Normally on a home system you have a dynamic IP address, that means it changes every time you log on or the IP refreshes.

You can try that using one of the many IP checkers, http://www.ip2location.com/  (this gives your IP, location and lots of other stuff) disconnect your modem and then reconnect and try it again.

I guess that there is a cookie or similar that is the problem. firstly try deleting all your cookies and then see what happens. Try removing the game and reinstalling it and see what happens, try loging on with a different name etc.

  12. You can't change your IP add. only way is to get a new computer.
