I am doing my head in as to how to clear the "search - topic" box on the Yahoo internet search engine, on our pc, there are young people in the house and i do not want them seeing some of the search words that have been used in the past.

Any help that you can offer is greatly appreciated.

  1. i think what most of the people are answering here is how to delete ur browsing history

if i understand u right u want to delete the words that appear as you type in the search box on yahoo homepage

to do this put ur cursor in the box and press the downward arrow key, all previous searches should appear then continue to press the down arrow til u reach the word u want to get rid off and simply press the delete key on ur keyboard, the word should then disappear from the list

  2. its easy as other people think.

just on top of ur page.

    :) look up ^

  3. Click on tools, then click on internet options and follow directions. Mine has all gone doing this

  4. If you are using Internet Explorer click on Tools, Internet Options, Content, Auto Complete. Then clear forms. This will erase the search history. If you don't want things showing up again then deselect the auto complete options at the top of the page. Be sure to select ok at the bottom. Clearing the history only deletes sites visited and doesn't clear the search history in the search bar.

  5. click start,   maybe programs,  look for internet opitions,

click on internet opitions and then yuo will have delete history,   delete that and then you will also have delete cookies,  worth getting shot of them.  Then you will have a button to clear history.

    Good luck.

  6. **Removal of items on your search bar**

On the right side of the bar before you get to the web search button click on the bar (you may have to click it a few times) will open a drop down box that will bring you at the front of items you searched for.

Place your mouse pointer over the first item and you will see it highlight. Do not click the item just leave your mouse where it is and hit the delete button on your keyboard. The item will vanish and the next will take its place and become highlighted. Just keep hitting the delete button and watch them go away.

This will work for any browser.

  7. Try this go to download .com and down load Ccleaner this is very simple to use and is FREE you can get this also from Ccleaner.com so you have options where to down load from

This will clean your browsers, applications, also your register

  8. click tools Internet options click delete browsing history done
