My girlfriend and I have 2 roommates. anytime they need help with bills their parents will help. my gf and I, on the other hand, are completely independent (...lol if our parents would send money we would gladly accept it, but they won't *shrugs*) point is we try to save money because we have to save money for college and bills. lately the thing that my girlfriend has been concerned about is the $200 electric bill, (all bills are split 50/50 between the couples) we try to explain to them that we don't **** money and our parents don't help us, so a/c is a concern for us but they don't seem to understand. what would be a reasonable compromise to come to with them if they leave the A/C on at 75 degrees 24/7 when we would be content to leave is on at 78 degrees at night and just use fans through out the day?

  1. i can understand where you are coming from -- but on the other hand they have the right to remain cool -- try once again to have them see your point -- if that does not work -- you two may have to give up something to make up the difference until winter gets here!!!
