I'm in a wedding next May and the bride, although I love her to death, picked horribly unflattering dresses for us. They have a tight seam that hits right above the bellybutton and fall to a flimsy, clingy knit material which made all of us look like we had a huge pooch even though we are all pretty fit girls with relatively flat tummies.

If you dont' think this style would help to control the fake bulge then what other product would you recommend?

Ugh spending 200 bucks on the worst dress EVER sucks!!!

  1. if the dress is not backless go to Fredrick's of Hollywood and get yourself a corset!  Trust me they work and they are under$100

  2. Actually spanx did not work for me and I have cottage cheese to boot! What did work was a body shaper from Walmart (the center of life). You should try that option as well.  The price of the body shaper was less than the one package of spanx and it can be washed and reused for a longer period of time than the spanx.

Oh and the price of being a bridesmaid is never easy.  We spend hundreds at each wedding and we end up with an ugly dress.  Well we can fix that too. Get yourself a very good tailor and convert the dress into a cocktail dress to wear to a party or other social event use the excess fabric to make a head band, mini skirt, shirt, clutch purse, or anything else you can think of. Then see how far your $200 will go.  Good Luck!

  3. it should work just dont buy a realy expensive one they all work the same

  4. i havent tried that kind but i was in my aunt and uncles wedding last yr and had a little pudge...they sell some that look like that at walmart...its where i got mine...im sure they have them at target....they run around 20 dollars....maybe a little less...make sure u get one ur comfortable in....i got the only one they had [which was  alittle small for me] and lord i couldnt breathe! lol and i dont advise you to dance in one....urgh haha
