I am trying to organise a Birthday dinner (40th) in Port Douglas, but am not familiar with the area.

Would appreciate if someone that is familiar with the area could please let me know of a Great Restaurant.

We are going to be in Port Douglas mid August.

  2. Nautilus Restaurant - A Port Douglas Landmark,  beautiful fresh food  made with local produce. Lots of  celebs eat there when they are in town and you have the added bonus of eating out under the stars. Service is a sort of laid back North Qld style of fine dining.

On the Inlet - Right next door to the Marina. A personal favourite of mine.  More casual than Nautilus but the seafood is fabulous.  I used to eat there a lot and would sit out on the  wharf and watch the fishing boats come in while I had the  sunset special, a bucket  of  prawns and a beer for $15.00 (this was back in 1998) but they do have a more extensive menu  . The seafood cocktail sauce is  sooooo good you could eat it with a spoon :))

    AHHHHH memories.....
