Need to find a decent exhaust for my Subaru Impreza WRX help Plz!?

Question

I drive a 02 impreza wrx and its not fun without having loud exhaust. Rite now I got two dual exhaust tip wchich doesn't make any roar at all. I am not looking for very expensive and loud. all i need is exhaust just enough to make more sound than what i have on. if you got suggestion where I could find a decent price exhaust. thanks..

If it really is just sound you want, I would look for an axle back from either TurboXS or buy a cheap muffler and have one made.  The Ebay ones are surprisingly well made and seem to be pretty liked by the people who buy them but they are loud.  And if you haven't heard many, Subaru's are very very loud with most cat backs.  I think an axle back would be your best bet.

There are a ton of manufacturers for WRX exhaust right now, especially the 02-05..Perrin, Turbo XS, ProDrive, Maddad, Dynomax, Borla just to name a few..I  would try www.nasioc.com.. search the forums for sound clip links.. that will give you an idea of what will sound best to you.. As far as cost: don't be afraid of used parts.. stainless steel systems are easily swapped from one car to another.. and can be had cheap..look at the private for sale forums there.. you're bound to find them much less than new..

Depending on where you live you may not want to go for anything too flashy. California forbids any modification on you exhaust system.

disreguarding all that if you ever want to make more power get a downpipe + tune lots of info @ www.clubwrx.net or www.nasioc.com.  

Here is a list of several exhausts and their sound levels, 10 being close to a striaght pipe.

For you however, I would suggest the spt cbe as it is within legal limits and will not void your warranty.

3" HKS high power cat back. kinda expensive but well worth it. great sound and awsome power gain:) :)

go to ebay.

Type in SRS catback exhaust for WRX.

the guys sell them for 200 dollars plus shipping. They sound great.

Be easy... Best answer right now.

Try to find a prodrive turbo back. You can't go wrong with that.

If you want big noise turbo XS RFL stuff gets the job done.  don't be surprised if LEOs are attracted to your car after the install
