Question:

Need to find a legitimate work at home job.?

I've done surveys, I work at mturk, I run an online store, but I need a full-time, legitimate work from home job. I'm agoraphobic and so it's imperative that all aspects are from my home. I don't want to pay to work from home and that's all I seem to find, "pay a fee and we'll get you work". Not legitimate at all. Anyone out there know where I can find one? I'm creative, I can run all aspects of an office so I'd make a wonderful virtual assistant, I write, proofread, etc. I have a lot of potential if I could just find the right path to follow. Thanks.

  7. You can apply for freelance writing, bookkeeping, software, transcription, online tuition or customer service work at home jobs. These companies do not require any fee and pay well . List of companies(with websites) offering genuine work at home jobs is available at http://www.pcworkathome.net . Many of these companies have been in business for several years

  8. The work from home jobs that aren't scams actually require work on your part - and if you're in need of money soon then you're likely to be sorely disappointed in any of those as well. Most of the legit opportunities out there take time to build - so if someone makes an outrageous claim of income it probably isn't true ( and those that are true sure didn't make that kind of money when they first began ).

Time & effort required - but do your own research on what is best for you, don't take the advice of myself and others as gospel from this type of public website.

I have other ideas that may help - one of them is an online opportunity but another is one that will require a little effort to market yourself - try some data entry for local businesses, many of them don't have the time to do it in-house and will gladly pay someone else to do it. Professionals are a good place to start, lawyers, doctors, chiropractors, etc - they need their "in-house" folks doing other things rather than busy work.

  9. According to your detailed message on your experience, I think the right path for you to follow would be to start a home based business.  Home based business will give you the same income opportunity as a traditional business without all the over head expenses.  They're home based, so you can run them out of your home.

As far as the part of paying to work at home in your detailed message, your right, you shouldn't pay for a job.  In looking for a home based job, the same process would apply as a traditional job.  Unfortunately, so does the pay.  Minimum waged earnings is what you receive in home based jobs.  You apply, and if you qualify for the position in which the company is asking, they like you better then the other applicants, then you get hired.  Same amount of work, with the same expectations from the employer as a traditional job.  The only difference between a home job and a traditional job is the location.  You can get fired just as easily in a home job for not completing the work just the same as a traditional job.

Survey's won't make anything near a minimum waged job.  Minimum waged jobs don't give you the income potential as a home based business.  But with home based businesses their are start up costs.  The only time you should ever have to pay for, purchase anything ect, wouldn't be in a home based job, but only in a home based business.

I don't know what income level you need, so I'm going to refer you over to an article that will give you a few places that I think you may qualify for.  If you think you can do the job in which these companies listed are asking, then I'd say go ahead and apply.  If the income level you need is greater then this, then you need to step out of your box and look into home based business opportunities.

  10. "If a company requires initial payment from you in order to work for them, they are not legitimate."

There are a few legitimate data entry companies but are not hiring and have large waiting lists (1-2yrs). The majority of data entry jobs you seen online are scams. A real company will want you to have skills inc fast typing, may want you to know MS Excel, and will usually ask that you have high speed internet. Once in a long while you may found one online on a job website but thats rare.

If you do an advanced search on yahoo, you will find previous answers, sometimes the info on these is good as the info they gave is likely to have been verified if the answer was voted as 'Best'.
