  1. Is the person missing as in, you knew where they were a few days ago, they're gone all of a sudden, no one knows where they are and they left their wallet and car keys behind?  If that's the case, you need to contact the police.

If the person is someone who moved suddenly or is someone you've fallen out of touch with, I suggest entering the name, in quotations, into a search engine such as the one found on yahoo's home page or google.com  It will help if you know details about the person.  The more you know, the easier they are to find.  (For instance, if you go to google and enter in a search for "John Doe" and get several leads, but one John Doe has a different birthday than the person you're looking for, you can rule him out.)

whitepages.com is another good site to find someone.  If they're listed in a phonebook, that is.  But if they're not, there is an option to pay some money to find unlisted numbers or search through public records.  This is usually not free and helps if you have a social security number for the person in question.

  2. Send a spam email to everyone you know, asking them to send it to everyone they know.

I got one before of a four year old girl. It was saying to help the family find her and contact someone from their family if anyone had info. It also listed tones of phone numbers and emails as contacts, listing their relationship to the girl...I guess in case one of the contacts got a new number or somthing...

Best of luck to you. I hope everything turns out.
