I need to find some moving boxes and fast! I move into my first house at the end of the month and I want to start packing now so I don't have tons to do later... I've been to the local grocery stores & they don't have any.. Where else can I look? If worst comes to worst can I buy some from U-Haul?

  1. There are some stores called moving supplies, or something like that. They have everything you need for moving, like boxes in different sizes, packing tapes,..... Their boxes are really thick and good and you can flatten and save them for later.

  2. go to the dollar general store whenever they stock there stuff and go look in the back at the dumpsters and there are plenty back there...we have done that so many times.... go to Sam's Club.... go to dollar tree and they should have some...they should give them to you for free...good luck and happy moving...

  3. Yes, you can buy some from U-Haul.  Also, try local restaurants, liquor stores, or any store that get shipments in...just ask!  It worked for me.  U-Haul boxes can get quite expensive if you need a lot.  Good Luck!

  4.      Go to Restaurants, i work at Denny's and we have a cerdboard box recycle bin in the back of thr store and we let people take them all of the time! They're already unfolded so you don't have to take them apart and the bin only has cardboad boxes in it! Mondays and Tuesdays are when most restaurants get their stock, so go early in the week. You'll be surprised at what you can find!

Also... Hospitals have the same kind of recycling bins and they are always willing to let people take the boxes.(my mom works at a hospital) They go thriugh hundreds of boxes a day!

Whatever you do don't break down and buy them!!!!! It's rediculous to waste your hard earned monet on something you can get for free!

I hope this helps you out ! Alycia D.

  5. If there's a Craigslist where you live, there's always people giving away moving boxes.

  6. If you live in the US, drop by your local USPS office; they give you free boxes.

If you have time, you can also 'order' them online and have them sent to you.
