Need to find out if some can get a passport when they have lost their id?

My brother in law has lost id and birth certificate is in California

  1. He needs to get another birth certificate.  Just contact the county clerks' office where he was born and ask for another one.  If he has nothing identifying who he is, there is ABSOLUTELY no way he can get a passport.

    Also, go to the DMV and get another copy of his id.


  2. Nope, he has to get all the id and birth certificates replaced before he can. and birth certificates are a pain in the *** to replace.  Good luck to him though
