Where on the net can I locate the maximum recording times and data capacities for the CD's and DVD's listed above?

Recording times. for a single sided single layer DVD (4.37 GB) the recorders usually offer record times of 2 hr, 4 hr, or 6 hr. They yield varying quality levels, with the 6 hr about equal to VHS.

Any recorders that worked with dual layer DVDs would give you double that.

Double sided would double that again.
