Need to get in shape for the Air Force?

I plan on enlisting in the Air Force as a Security Forces Apprentice(3P0), but I need to lose weight first, any advice on how to lose the wieght and build the muscle. I am between 5'11" and 6'0".

  1. Definitely start running. That's what I did before I enlisted and it helped because I used to get bad cramps after just a few minutes of running, but training helped for when I went in. As far as the muscle go to the gym and work out! By the way, the AF will run you outside so I would suggest outside running instead of a treadmill.

    Cut any junk food that you eat now like ice cream or candy. You won't have that in basic training.


  2. lift heavy, compound movement exercises like squat/deadlift/bench press

    it puts on muscle and raises metabolism
