Need to know if any sites will ship to ireland

Het You know all these sites like Newegg And Bestbuy that sell stuff for really cheep like computer parts and computer games, well is there any that ship to ireland?

I get a lot of stuff from Amazon and Proxis.com.

The problem is often the postal code/street number issue. I've found that when you enter you details, put 0000 where the postal code should be if you live in the Republic of Ireland (outside of Dublin), and then if you can leave any other details relating to delivery, ask them to write the telephone number under the address, with something like 'phone this number for directions'.

Works every time.

If you live near the border, probably the cheapest way will be to go to Derry. With the current exchange rate and the lower VAT, the slightly more expensive shop prices will probably be cheaper than international shipping.

On the outskirts of Derry (Waterside) there is a Maplin and a PC world. There is also a shop in the city centre that sells computer odds and ends (mostly just cards and consumables) pretty cheap.

No one here knows the truth. What happens is: if you ask amazon.com or any other UK based website why they don't send to Ireland, they say it's because since the Irish government imposed the "recycling" of electronics' tax, since they are based in UK, they can't charge an Irish tax, so they decided not to send anymore.

You can still get, though, good computer stuff from www.komplett.ie, which is a Norwegian based website, and being out of the EU, they don't care about Irish taxes, and they're quite cheap.

eBay can be good for parts as well but you need to be very, very careful with some of the people you come across on there

http://www.BongoUS.com will set you up with a US address so that you can buy goods anywhere in the US.  Give the vendor your US address and have them ship the products to Bongo's warehouse.  Bongo will consolidate all your purchases in the states and send them to you overseas.
