  1. One acre comprises 4,840 square yards or 43,560 square feet (which can be easily remembered as 44,000 square feet, less 1%).      It is a square

    208.7103255711130359119 feet on each side.

  2. 1 acres = 43559.82576 square feet

  3. P.L. Has the acreage correct for 2 acres, and a simple rectangle area would be 330 feet x 264 feet.  330x264= 87,120 sq ft.

  4. 43,560 f.sq. (one acre) X 2 = 87,120 f.sq.

  5. The two answers above are correct. 2 acres contains 87,120 sq ft. It could be 100 ft long and 871.2 ft wide. Divide 87120 by any number (length) and the result will be the width. I don't know where Ponydoc2000 got his information, but, 640 acres (1 square mile) is NOT 1 hectare. One hectare is 2.47105 acres, or 107,638.93 sq ft.

To find square footage, multiply the length (in feet) by the width (in feet), that's the square footage. To find acres, divide the square footage by 43560. There is no "set" length and width for acreage.
