  1. there used to be a product called thiotrine by applied bio for lowering chlorine not sure if its still made or not

  2. Normally it will come down on it's own as long as the amount of chlorine being put in is reduced. However, if you need to lower it quickly, there are chlorine neutralizers readily available at pool supply stores.  Follow label directions for how much to use...

Here's the link to the Leslie's version of it, as an example...

  3. All you can do is add more water to dilute the chlorine. If the water is cloudy and the level is to high you will have to add shock. The hot sun will burn the chlorine off.

  4. I guess if it's highly free of chlorine, then it needs more chlorine.  If that's not what you meant, and there's a high chlorine level, then I guess all you can do is wait.  Why don't you call the pool supply store and then come back and tell us.

I've heard of people adding baking soda to hot tubs, but that's probably an entirely different issue, where the PH goes too low because of the heat.  I think.

  5. There is this oxidizer stuff made by baquisil at the pool store.  Call the store and ask for baquisil products, better for your skin and alot easier to use then the other products. I was having constant problems with the pool.  Bought the oxidizer, the algae stuff, shock stuff, and havent had any problems at all since.  Just ask the people at the store what to do. Or just type in baquisil on google or whatever
