I am going to get an eight foot pool table. I don't want to make a mistake so I was wondering if there are anything that I should look for quality wise in the table? Anything to look for that would make buying a certain table something that I should not buy it because of?

  1. All you need to look for is the right name brands. Olhausen, Brunswick, Diamond, and Connelly all make quality tables. In general, if you stick to these 4 you will end up with a nice table, and if you look at any other brands (there are a couple other good ones but they are much harder to come by) you most likely will end up with a crappy table.

  2. Balls!!!

  3. The number one rule for buying a pool table: do not buy a pool table with a wood deck.  They are cheap and will not last.  Get stone.  A good slate will not warp and stays flat forever.

  4. I don't need to answer because they pretty much covered it, so instead I will be a smart a-- and remind you that a table with 4 legs would suit you better than one with 3.  I can't believe you guys forgot to mention that.

  5. Slate the thicker the better and Siminos or centinial cloth

If it has those you can pertty well trust the rest of the table I would suggest a Brunswick but there are 4 or 5 others just as good I just like the designs

Any of them do cost a lot but will out last most houses they are put in
