  1. yes it is called west of Hudson Service.

    you need to take NJ Transit from

    Hoboken or Secaucus Transfer to Middletown NY

    over 2 hour trip.


  2. Metro-North West-of-Hudson service has trains that go to Middletown...  These trains leave from the NJ Transit terminal in Hoboken in New Joisey.

  3. To clarify Joe's response a bit, the service is actually operated by New Jersey Transit in cooperation with the MTA, as an extension of their trains into New York State.  It's a longish trip--about two hours.

    You can take a train from New York Penn Station, changing at Secaucus Junction, NJ for the train that goes to Middletown.

  4. MTA Metro-North West of Hudson Line is operated under contract with NJ Transit and served by Port Jervis Line.
