  1. This could be the filter but it also stands a good chance of being interference from the WiFi router especially if you keep losing the Internet when on the phone, change the filter and try putting the phone and WiFi onto different channels

  2. Ah ha!  I know the problem.

I bet your new phone is a "2.4GHz" phone.  That's the same channel WiFi B and G uses (most common and cheapest).  Imagine a room full of people shouting and you're trying to understand one person who's across the room.  Not very good.

Your computer disconnects because the cordless phone spews energy all over that band and the computer can't "hear" the router reliably.

Your cordless phone crackles because it's "hearing" the computer trying to work which interrupts the phone signal some.  Also, it may be getting interference from your neighbor's WiFi that makes things worse.

Most phones jump around channels randomly (for security) so changing the channel on your router won't help unless your phone can be "forced" onto a specific channel (I haven't seen any that can do this)

The only fix is to get a different phone.  Your neighbors with WiFi will be greatfull too.

    --NOT 2.4GHz (that's your problem)

--5.8GHz (will interfere with WiFi-A which is not that common but this type of phone is next cheapest - Uniden has one that's $24 at Target, $18 at CircuitCity, and $21 at BestBuy...I'm going through this same situation now...)

--900MHz (less secure and somewhat outdated - hard to find)

--DECT6.0 (the latest, still very expensive compared to others)

Usually I'm posting this info in the computer networking section but it's the same problem...same fix...

  3. im with sky and my phone did start crackling and it was the connection wire.the adsl box which you put you line phone and broadband wire in .i had a spare one and it worked fine when i changed it

  4. Check your Internet connection setting there is an options to resolve this previously i had a same problem when some one changed the setting now i don't have problem.

Please check your connection setting. there you can find some solution.
