  1. The easiest trick is a iron cross, all you need to do is once you pop off the jump put one ski over another. Also a spread eagle is the easiest tricks all you do is in the air just spread your legs apart and put your arms straight up and that's it.

  2. Take tomorrow or the next day you have off and get up early, drive 2 hours north to Whistler/Blackcomb.  Sign up at the ski school for a morning lesson and then ski the blue runs at that area.    Hang at that area for a while with the riders near Tellus. You will learn enough in a day to keep you busy all spring trying to get that good.  This summer sign up for a park camp in the area.  Skiing won't end until June this season.

  3. the easiest trick to do is a safety grab: once you pop off the lip, bring your knees to your chest, reach down with your right  hand and grab underneath your right boot (or left hand left boot)

you can also go for a japan air: bring your right leg to your chest but keep your left leg down, reach behind your butt with your left hand and grab the right ski behind the binding.

once you feel comfortable spinning, go for a mute grab: cross your tips and grab the ski in front of the binding with your opposite hand (right hand left ski) or vice versa

  4. wow ive been skiing since i was 4 and i still havent even tried most of these tricks up here...

try some grinds on rails and boxes theyre pretty easy to start out with and you can do them going almost any speed. plus there are many types of grinds you can do on skis that range from very easy to quite hard plus you can invent your own with more complicated boxes

some easy jump tricks are spins, 180, 360, 520... one thing you may want to learn before doing spins is how to ski backwards cuz with pretty much anything but a 360 or 720 youre going backwards on the landing... unless you start backwards... (btw going backwards adds a whole new element to tricks wich can add alot of dificulty)

lastly is the ground spin... try while going downhill to spin on the ground while still going downhill... it may not look as cool but it takes alo more control than you would think...

  5. i think the easiest tricks are some old school ones like spread eagle & daffys.

Spread eagle is like a stradle jump, & daffy is 90 degree rotation with JUST your skis then back again.

Easiest rotation is obv the 180.

I found the best way to learn 360s is just by starting off quite small lips here & there, not purpose built jumps - you get less height

  6. start with lifting your knees up to your chest, and getting used to being high, and start adding grabs, and maybe even a 180 or two in the mix. The rest will be history.

  7. very nice gordo but clearly the dj 1260 is the best trick to start with

  8. well, if you are trying to learn spins such as 360 or 540, get up early in the morning after a snowstorm. the snow will be a little more deep and soft, which makes for easier landings.

if you are wanting to learn rails, wait until the end of the day. the landings won't be as random. the snow will be packed down, enough to not make your edges catch. when your edges catch, you WILL fall, and falling hurts sometimes.

grabs are pretty much the same as spins, because you are pulling your skis up and have to set them down. some people get too ansy and shove their feet down, sometimes breaking their ankles. that's why deep powder helps with things like that.

  9. The best trick to start out on is the backflip.  Approach a jump with as much speed as you can, and right before you hit the end of the jump start leaning back, and once you get in the air keep looking back and then spot your landing, and stomp your landing solid!
