Question:

Need to make a model animal eukaryotic cell?

Okay, I have a project in which I must use clear gelatin as my model cell. I have to use objects to represent each organelle in an animal eukaryotic cell.

For one, I am having difficulties making the list of organelles in this animal eukaryotic cell. Here is my list- can you tell me if I am missing something?

- nucleus

-cell membrane

-cytoplasm

-lysosomes

-golgi apparatus

-mitochondria

-ribosomes

-endoplasmic recticulum (ER) both smoother and rougher

Any ideas on what to use to represent each organelle?

Thank you in advance. I am just really bad at Biology in general; it is so confusing to me. I am not asking for anyone to do my assignment, just some advice.

  1. You're missing microfiliaments and microtubules. These are the cytoskeleton of the cell. They maintain the structure of the cell and provide a "train track" for vesicles to travel along though out the cell.

  2. Two more.....

    microtubules/cytoskeleton

nuclear membrane with pores. (interesting to show in models)
