Need to raise £2000 in just under a year any suggestions?

There is this amazing opportunity to go to Norway to go sea kayaking for a month! But it’s very expensive. With certain grants I might be able to get it down to £1500 but that is unlikely. I'm not yet 16 so finding a job has been impossible and my over protective parents wont let me get a paper round to help. Any suggestions for money raising would be welcome.

  1. Go to Rummage Sales & sell items on e-Bay.  That way, you buy low, sell high. Most web-cams take great close-up pictures, so you can post the items' photos.

Often items stir fond images of a person's past, so you don't know what will sell, or for what price.

  2. Don't borrow it. Too young to start getting into debt.

Could you chat to your parent? Tell them all about it so they understand it. They might be in fear of the unknown.

If they warm to the idea and because getting a job is hard your age perhaps you can come to an agreement with your parents. You do jobs round the house for a bit of money. Cut your gran's lawn etc etc.

If they don't let you, don't worry, there will be plenty of other chances.

  3. All you need to find/earn is £5.71 a day, every day....

    How hard can that be?
