Question:

Need to re-shaft an iron. Help!?

In true idiot fashion, I was hitting balls yesterday and had sat down a few clubs to work on my alignment. I got so in the zone that I didn't notice how close I was to the lead club sat down (my pitching wedge!!!), and I proceeded to hit down through the ball and through my PW, snapping it in 2.

Needless to say, I now need a new shaft. The clubs are Ping I-3 OSize and they all have the JZ (Stiff) Cushion Steel Shafts. Can you even buy these anymore?

I need to know how to find another one of these shafts and where (and how much $$$) to get it re-shafted.

Thanks,

  1. Hi look on the club (head)  itself you will see a number thats the number you can give to ping and they will get the right shaft according to that number usually that numbers differs from set to set.

  2. Contact the local golf shop and they should be able to get a match even if they have to contact Ping. It may take a while but the project is doable.
