Need to record a vhs to a dvd, but the vhs is blocked.....?

I own the vhs and i think i should be able to put it on a dvd. I was wondering if anyone knew how to get around it so that i can still record it onto a dvd. Thanks for the help.

What do you mean by "blocked"? Is this a U.S. vhs tape? If you have the right video card you can output your VHS player to it and run a program to save it to your hard drive and then put that in .avi or .mpeg file type and write that to your DVD or take it to audio/video shop who already have the equipment.
