Need to reduce the size of pics to post?

when i went to up load pics every thing went ok then got told pics to large need to know how to reduce the size any help would be great

Another way is to use Photo Shop program and use JPG and 72 resolution which will allow you to downsize and/or put on email . I get thumbnails and four by five pics with that method.

Almost any graphics editor is able to change the dimensions and/ or  file size of an image file. If it is a JPG file format, you can specify a compression percentage to get the file size (some programs show you this) you want. For dimensions, just specify the appropriate width and length that you wish.

An good free graphics editor that I use is IrfanView. It can do batch conversions, if you have lots of files to convert.
