Need to replicate Portuguese Fava Beans..help!?

Question

I had these fava beans at a party. They were brought by a Portuguese lady and they were absolutely delicious. I don't know what she could have put in them but they seemed to be in some type of tomato/oil type dressing. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
