  1. Your question is a little vague.  Do you need help with proper set notation form?  I can't make all of the proper symbols:  let 'e' stand for the lower-case Greek epsilon.  Suppose the domain is the set of all x in the reals greater than 3.  The notation will look like

    {x | x e R, x > 3}

    You'd use the same type of notation for the range.

    That would be read as "the set of all x such that x is an element of the real numbers, x greater than 3".
