Need to swim to parasail?

Question

I want to go parasailing with my family but can't swim. Is that a problem? I also can't balance on anything with wheels, let alone water, so was wondering if skis were involved as well.

If someone could brief me on the typical procedures gone through to get in the air and down, that would be very helpful.

ok so you don't have to be worried about anything because ive gone twice in cozumel and they are really nice and very professional, i went parasaling with the people on paradise beach. i recommend going to them. but all you do is get strapped into a harness connected to a parachute and you sit on the back of the boat and it pulls you into the air, when its over the rope pulls you back into the boat and you never touch the water.
