My old laptop is a really cheap dell and it does not have a disc drive, so i cannot save all the files to a disc and transfer them. I also have an ipod touch so it makes it harder to get music from a different computer. I have about 700 songs on my old laptop that i would like to just get on my ipod. i really dont care if it is on my macbook itunes, just needs to be on my ipod. how would i either get my music files to my macbook or get my ipod that is already sync'd to my macbook to retrieve music from the old itunes library?

thanks.

  1. Set up a network connection between the old and new computers and then transfer the songs to new computer.

  2. This Cnet video does a good job of explaining it: http://cnettv.cnet.com/9742-1_53-5000238...

  3. if you just want the songs from your dell on to your ipod then hook up the USB cable and drag and drop your "library" tab into your ipod tab. then all the songs on your computer are now on your ipod. also, if you wanted to put these new songs on your new macbook (lucky lol) then you could drag and drop you "music" tab underneath you ipod and drop into your library on the macbook. this should work hope this helps!!
