  1. you should go to aquaworld. it is a boat ride from aquaworld to a lake. Then they put you on a submarine. They take you all around the lake in the submarine. The tourguide for the submarine will show you the corals and different types of fish. It is really cool. You might feel a sick in your stomach but just close your eyes and it will feel better. Once you are off the submarine they take you back on the boat to go to aquaworld. You can also go on the jungle tour, skyrider, and paradise snorkel.

The submarine's name is the subsee explorer.

  2. Cancun was my least favorite place I've been to in Mexico.  VERY touristy, VERY expensive (compared to other places), and a bit lacking in authenticity.  Next time try Puerta Vallarta and stay in the old town, not the hotel zone.

That being said, if you're already booked, make it a point to rent a car and drive to Chichen Itza the great Mayan pyramid.

That was by far the best part of my visit to the area.  It was probably about an hour or so by car. It was an amazing site, and unlike if it was in the US, there were no fences, no railings, no handicap ramps or release forms to sign it.  Just climb up it, and if things go bad, there was an ambulance parked at the bottom.

Iguanas were everywhere, along with other nearby ruins, and a killer view from the top.

It's also not hard to fly to Cuba from there, and it's totally legal since you're not going to or from the U.

  3. I answered your other question but I forgot to mention the price for swimming with the dolphins at Dreams Cancun. It's $149 for about 60 minutes. It's more if you want professional pictures with the dolphins. ($25 dollars more)They are not in the ocean, they are in a designated area on the property. They have 6 dolphins and they always have one at rest.

  4. OMG I love cancun. I am young but been there about 14 times since I was a baby going there again this december. Um You will want to visit Isla Mujeres (not sure on spelling) in english its the Island of Women, Its beatiful there and its a fun day trip for the hotel zone. Um Chicanita is cool, Xcaret. once again I am like 99% sure thoughs are not spelled right but there is alot of acient ruins of the mayan indians and thoughs are really cool to look at. and there is a town a little while drive away called Playa Da Carmen and its a fun town with alot of shopping, another great day trip. Ask your front desk at your hotel and then can tell you anything you need to do to get a trip scheduled to any of the locations I talked about. Have Fun you will love it down there if you have never been there before.

  5. Hi,

Cancun can be a great deal of fun. My reccomendation would be a couple of nights stay at the Chichen Itza Mayan Ruins. The Mayanland Resort is right at the ruins with their own private entrance and its free if you stay at Mayanland. The resort is secluded in the jungle right at the ruins. There is a night program that explains the building of El Castillo and how the serpent apears during the spring and fall equanox. The up-side is you don't have to take a bus tour and you beat all the tours. You'll have to rent a car and take the toll road out of Cancun to Chichen Itza.

If you take the Chichen Itza trip your next stop shoud be Coba another set of Mayan Ruins that is in the thick of the jungle another great tour.

For your swin with the Dolphins you can take the Xcret tour south of Playa del Carmen. Your hotel can set this up. My suggestion for your swim with Dolphins is Chankanaab Park on the island os Cozumel. From Cancun it will be an all day trip and you can do this without the cost of a tour. You will have to take the Bus, this is really a luxuary coach from Cancun or the Cancun Airport to Playa del Carmen, cost should be around $8.00 one-way. Take the short three block walk to the Cozumel ferry, the freey departs every hour up to 11PM The 45 minute crossing will cost $16.00 one-way. You can grab a cab to the Park for about $6.00. Once at Chankanaab($13.00 all day) you can spend your entire day swiming and snorkling with all kinds of sea life, all friendly and take the Dolphine tour. The cost is around $99.00 for 20 minutes. www.dolpnindiscovery.com this site will also give you the sites with dolphines in and around Cancun.

About Cancun you have a lot of beach to tour. If you are staying on the Hotel Zone you can tour the Plaza La Isla, this is a shopping center just about center to the Hotel Zone.

Another place to tour would be the island, Isla Mujeres just off the coast of Cancun. You can take the ferry from Puerto Juarez to the Isla Mujeres. There is also the American Mall in Cancun and the local bus will take you there.

    Enjoy....

  6. I started visiting Cancun 7 years ago when I was a member of the British Forces based in Belize, and loved the place and the people so much, that I now live here and run a business.

Some places you will find are pricey, but then you can pick a hotel that suits your budget... www.oasishotels.com are excellent and not over priced.

Best swim with dolphins program I have found is with Dolphin Discovery www.dolphindiscovery.com also check out what offers they have on, as they often have Garaffon and Royal Swim as a Combo, or a combo with Royal Swim, Jungle Tour and Lobster Dinner Cruise.

The Sea Life Discovery Program is also very good, and involves Dolphins, Sealions & Manatees... it's also on the Dolphin Discovery website.

Royal Swim is $139.00 USD & Sea Life Discovery $179.00 USD but both are worth every cent.

Take a look at www.graylinecancun.com for other trips to Xcaret, Xel-ha & Chichen itza... I would recommend that you stay for the Night time show at Xcaret, it's fantastic.

If you book Chichen Itza through Grayline, ask for the All Inclusive package, as they take you to the Mayaland Hotel so that you get lunch, open bar and use of the Hotel facilities, as well as a Guide and unlimited access into the Chichen Site through their gateway that joins the site.

www.rancholomabonita.com great place for Horse riding (and you actually get to swim on the horse in the Sea). You can also arrange a Combo with this and ATV's or snorkeling.

www.aquatours.com.mx for Jungle tours, catamaran trip, lobster dinner cruise and be sure to check out the deals that they have available.

If you're still stuck and need any help with anything then please give me a yell... always happy to help.
