Needle does not work propertly

Question

I changed the needle on my Euro Pro Model 9110 after the needle broke. After replacing the needle, the needle just vibrates and does not work properly. There seems to be thread jammed under the needle plate, but I'm scared to take off the screws and not be able to put them back on properly.
