Hi there I recently inherited a virtuosa 160 and do not have any past experience with sewing machines, so threading this one was new to me. Followed the instructions and realised that I could not use the needle threader device that features on this model as it would not reach the needle itself. The reason being that the needle is not in the centre of the presser foot and is not in the centre of the gap in the plate beneath it. I dont know if this is due to a malfunction or misalignment, or indeed if it is because the needle moves from side to side when used to create patterns etc and has been left in this position. I do not want to proceed and test sewing in case this should not be used and could damage the machine plate though it does seem to me that it would miss the metal. I have used the most practical presser foot in the kit and the needle is a universal 60/120. Any help with this query is appreciated, thanks in advance
