Question:

Needle thread unravels and breaks

No matter what I am sewing on, my needle thread starts to unravel then breaks. I have tried various quality threads, adjusting tension, new needles. Nothing helps. My machine is relatively new and unused especially with this problem. Any suggestions? I have a Janome 6500P.
