Needle won't move on Bernina 930. I am using a Bernina sewing machine and the needle will not move

Question

I am using a Bernina sewing machine and the needle will not move up and down. It will go side to side. It stopped while sewing and won't restart. I have checked all of the common troubleshooting things on the machine and none of them worked. The owner of the machine is on vacation in Ireland, so can't ask her. Help!!!
