Needles come out of some bug's asses?

I saw this big black beetle outside one day and when i killed it a giant black needle came out of its ***. Same thing happened with a giant cricket, big needle came out of the ***.

wtf does this mean? this made me terrified of bugs.

Google "Cricket parts" you will see the "needle" is called an oviposter, the female insects dig them into soil and deposit eggs, you squished it out of her.

What you saw were probably Horsehair Worms. They are parasites that live inside some insects. I imagine they came out because the insect had been killed.
