I am 31 yrs old. 15 days late on my period which is completely NOT normal for me. I have not been stressed or sick. I feel positive that I am preg though. My preg tests are all negative still. I have a dr appointment on Wednesday. Other than a physical what else should I ask my Dr.? I am going to ask for a blood test, too. I have never had any children. Any suggestions on this upcoming dr visit?

  1. Prepare yourself for the visit - read everything about missed periods below

  2. go for infertility treatment ,

  3. There really isn't much else to ask the doctor at this point, as he/she won't likely be able to answer many until you get the lab results.  During the physical exam, they may be able to see changes in the cervix that would suggest pregnancy, or feel an enlarged uterus.  They may also take some cultures to see if you perhaps have an infection you did not know about.  Although your period has always been regular, it's also possible this is just a mystery skip.  It happens to most all women at some point in life, and most of the time it corrects itself within a month or two without any treatment required.  They also usually never quite figure out what happened either.  It's just one of those mysteries of life.  Perhaps your body just decided to take a vacation for a monht.  And perhaps you did concieve, but things didn't quite progress and the cycle has been delayed.  There are lots more conceptions than full term pregnancies- just one of the things that make it all such a miracle.  And there isn't any good way to tell if that actually happened, either.  In the meantime, don't feel too out of sorts about it if you can.  Sometimes, skips just happen and it doesn't mean a thing.  Take heart, and remember back when you first started getting periods.  Back then it was a serious imposition you thought you could easily do without.  Now that you are used to it, you feel like you malfunctioned because it skipped a month.  I hope you get a good answer, and perhaps do have motherhood in your future.  It's not a bad occupation at all.  In the meantime, live as though it's possible- just don't get too involved or you may end up feeling really disappointed.  Good luck dear, and may you hear the news you want to hear.

  4. sounds like your pregnant especially if your period is super regular and your not having any other health issues.  it take those home pregnancy tests a while to pick up on the hormone your body puts out when your pregnant.  best thing is to see a doctor. ..  a blood test will tell you quicker if your pregnant than a urine test.  best wishes.
