It seems that every time a question about a candidate is asked, there are people who call you names and make negative comments about you as a person. Does free speech only apply to people who agree with you?

  1. I don't think these people dislike you. Most of us just like to bust your chops.

  2. folks are very immature and ignorant

  3. Unfortunately, in the U.S. this is becoming more the truth.  In many countries, politics is a subject of much discussion.  In Italy you can go to the village square and see many people discussing politics from varying points of view.  Everyone has an opinion and are heard.  Many don't agree but are willing to listen.

Here, you get shouted down, criticized, called names, told that you are not patriotic, just because of you may disagree with some aspect of people believe.

If we would spend more time on what we agree on, instead of devisive buzz words and tatics... maybe we could find a common ground to work on what we need to do right for our country instead of standing by arguing while is is destroyed by powers inside and outside of the country.

  4. Not to put to fine a point on it, but freedom of speech includes calling people names, making negative comments, and generally acting like an immature butthead.

I mean, I hear ya...but there's not much you can do about people like that except ignore them.

Personally, I prefer sarcasm and the wise-cracking smartass approach over chilidish name-calling, but that's just me...though I generally restrain my urges to flagrant displays of ignorance or stupidity.
