Negative pregnancy test from IUD?

I had unprotected s*x on the 20th of last month. I had an IUD so I didn't think I could get pregnant. I had s*x on back. (I wasn't trying to get pregnant but I know that is one of the best positions to get pregnant in) I'm also pretty sure that was my ovulating weekend.

I've got one kid so I remember how I felt when I first got pregnant. I lost weight but my belly got bigger. I've taken 6 pregnancy test. Only one came up pregnant and the rest were negative. My doctor is ordering blood work to test for pregnancy. I know getting pregnant on a IUD is rare but I wanted to know if IUDs will effect pregnancy test results.

The only thing that will effect a pregnancy test is hCG the pregnancy hormone. Pregnant with or without an IUD your body will produce hCG if you are pregnant.

This happend to my friend her test said posative but she was confused thinking she ***** get pregnant cause shes on a IUD so she took 2 more and they came up negative so handed a urine sample in at the doctors and wasnt was all in her head

good luck on what ever the news is you still have a chance cause my auntie fell pregnant with this as it moved aside or cae out something like that after a while my cousins now 10

I shouldn't think that an IUD would affect a pregnancy test because it is looking for HCG, no other hormones. But obviously as you have an IUD you should already know that it wont stop conception, just implantation, maybe you were pregnant but the IUD stopped anything further happening and your body is just adjusting back to normal.
