Neighbor gave me lots of hot peppers, What can I do with them?

My Neighbor has a large garden and is always giving us good veggies, today she gave us a bag of hot peppers , she said they are too hot to just eat, so I need a few suggestions of what I can do with them!

  1. Have you ever heard of canned hot pepper jelly? YUM.  with cream cheese on crackers..it's the best. Not sure if the peppers you have could be used for this, but if they are this would be really yummy to make.  Makes great little gifts too!

    Besides all the othe great suggestions here, you could dry the peppers (they dry easily and last a while) and then grind them into hot pepper powder.  They make a great spice for chili.

  4. Salsa or make some fresh hot sauce for wings, tacos, etc.

    Always fun to dare a dumb friend into eating one raw.

  5. if they are colored red and green they would be beautiful as ornamental decorations in ure kitchen - especially at christmas - put them on heavy string and enjoy the beautiful plants of nature- hang them from kitchen hook

  9. i ate them before, i was like 5 and didnt know better, my mouth was burning for hours, but it was fun, you should try it. you can make chili, some kinda stir fry maybe, season chicken with it. give it to another neighbor. i dunno.

  10. Eat them. Dry them out and make some sort of decoration you can look online to see what kind of all sorts of things to do with them. Or even start your garden of you own and sell them to people who Do like hot peppers.

  11. I like to put peppers in my eggs sometimes. Not too many, just enough to add that kick!

    -Peppers

    -Cilantro

    -Lime juice

    -Onion

    -Garlic

    -corn

    -black beans

    -tomatoe

    Even add some fruit to it (peaches, watermellon, or papaya)

    ~Pico de gallo

    ~Dry them out and save them FOREVER...or make a pretty wreath :)

  14. Depending on how many there are, you may want to can them (it is simple to do) or freeze them in baggies... then use a few in recipes as you want and they won't all go to waste at the same time.
