Neighbors Baby looks like MY husband??

Question

What if your next door neighbor who flirts with your red haired hubby , had black hair and her hubby had black hair, have a baby that turns out with red hair and looks just like your hubby. Would you be worried and address your husband.?

Just curious, this didn't happen to me.

I am friends with a married couple.  They both have dark dark DARK brown hair...it almost looks black.  Their two year old has red hair.  The red hair comes from the paternal grandma....

It could be nothing but genetics.

i think it runs in their famiily even though i could be wrong but i have 3 girls and 2 are blonde and one brunette i have dark brown hair so does hubby. my aunt and my brother have blonde hair only ones on my side and on his side no one has blonde hair they are all brown or black haired. so i think it could just run in the family....never know  good luck

If I had reasons to worry that it was his then yes I would. If not then Id just let it go. Depends on the situation I guess.

Oh my that's an interesting question!

I'd invite the mom and baby over for lunch, and see if she gets really uncomfortable when I point out how strange it is that the baby has red hair. Something subtle, and not accusing anyone without having more evidence first.

hahaha, maybe.....

actually, i'd wait until the neighbor's husband is outside watering the lawn or something and comment on how "cute" and maybe even "unusual" the baby is.... then casually ask him where the kiddo got the redhair from; chances are  he's either wondering where the heck the redhair came from, himself, or knows that his kid's hair came from his greatgrandfather or someone within either his or his wife's family (which even then may not be the truth, hehe).
