This weird neighbour of mine.. i can't really explain it. He is opposite me but when I go out to do the gardening, he watches me from his window and smiles ..it's creepy. He just stands there. Sometimes he looks a bit depressed. He is in his 50s and has a wife, but is in the middle of a divorce. He is about 56 i think. He has one son who's grown up and has grandchildren..

Whenever I do the gardening he stares at me and watches me intently (when nobody else is in his house.)

He sometimes gets a bench and sits in his front garden watching me. He smiles at me when I look at him. He drinks coffee too, but never reads a newspaper.

He also rings me up. ah.. he just rang again. I don't know what to do, he has weird piano music playing from his house, and also i hear this when he rings me up.. i cant change my number because i dont know how.. he rings me midnight and also wakes me up most nights.. my husband doesnt know.. help

  1. Well thats creepy. I think you should tell your husband that you feel uncomfortable and scared  about your neighbor. and you mean he has your phone number??

  2. Call the phone company and get your number changed and unlisted.

Ignore him when you go outside, don't even look at him. Keep your doors locked when you go inside.

Tell your husband (unless you like it), not sure why you haven't already told him.

  3. Old people do that.  I live in a retirement community and the old people here come outside every single time I go to the grocery store.  They watch me get in the car, unload the stuff when I come back.  They enjoy being outside.  My grandmother says old people like to watch young people b/c it reminds them of what it was like to be young.

But with the midnight calls--how does your husband not know? I recommend talking to the neighbor next time you are outside.  Say something like "Hey.  Beautiful day."  then explain to him that you'd like to ask his advice on something.  Someone has been calling you late at night, after midnight.  It happens all the time and it's really scary.  You are thinking about calling the cops but ask him what he would do if it was his daughter or granddaughter.

If he doesn't take the hint, I'd call the cops and tell them you don't know who is calling you.  It is really scary but you want to get the problem solved.

  4. 1. Tell your husband. Why would you hide such a pig from your husband?

    2. If you wish, approach the guy and tell him your phone records indicate he has been calling you and to avoid any further action on your part, "I must ask you to stop calling me."

    3. Notify the police. They are equipped and trained to deal with such situations.

  5. tell your husband,

  6. Definitely tell your husband what has been going on. After all, it's not like you did anything wrong, and besides he should probably know that his neighbor is acting strangely toward his wife. If you two can't think of anything to do, both of you together should kindly tell the neighbor that his behavior is making you uncomfortable. If he still doesn't stop ... you might want to call the police.
