Neighbourhoods to avoid for Toronto apartment searching?

Please list all the neighbourhoods in Toronto that I should avoid such as the Chalkfarm neighbourhood on Jane and Wilson, Black Creek.... etc... ?

I am mainly looking at the area near Don Mills. If you could also give me information on that area and its surrounding areas, I'd be much obliged!

Thanks in advance.

  1. jane street north

  2. It seems like you know the city pretty well.  Sticking with the Don Mills area, and you have not talked about your price range, but I am going to assume at around $1000.00 for a one bedroom to rent.

Around Thorncliff park is a good bet

a lot of buildings around Fairview Mall.

I would stay around this area, would not go lower than Lawrence Ave.

Unless you are willing to go to around

    Younge & Eglinton

I would not go toward Victoria Park

  3. Best Bet is that if the price is less than a thousand there something wrong. Most notorious gang infested neighbourhoods are Jane and Finch ( though i feel that its not that bad), malvern, kingston-galloway, midland and lawerence, rexdale and chester le area. It's best that you do some research first in the area you are thinking of staying
