Question:

Neil Craig - why such a inflexible coach?

we lost that game thanks to Neil Craigs inflexibility (Franklin Vs Massie - poor choice). He just can't make moves when they are so badly needed. Should he go or so he stay...I personally think hes had his time and chance and the Crows have just gone backwards under him...time for a change? What do you think bloggers?

  1. yep i agree

    i dont really like him

  2. He coaches one of my three least favorite sides, along with Footscray and Collingwood.

I think he knows what he is doing. I thought Adelaide did well to get in the finals. I would not think the Crows went backward with him. He came after Gary Ayers and a dead man would have been a step up from Ayers. Look at Geelong. Ayers coached Blight's side, then Ayers put the Cats in the tank after that. Malcolm goes to the Crows and 2 premierships.

Enjoy Neil Craig while you have him. Sack him and he has a new head coaching job in the AFL in a week.

  3. While that move didn't get made, have a look at the delivery franklin was getting.  There is no way anyone could have stopped him at full stretch on the lead.  I think they were better with a smaller faster player to try and get a fist in like massie.

I think you underestimate what neil craig has done.  Adelaide has had an ageing list for a few years now, and to get them to consecutive finals has been a good effort.  Now they are going to have to rebuild, and a highly strategic coach like neil craig is needed.

  4. Neil has admitted to this recently, I think give him another couple of years, see if he can over come this 'inflexibility'. He is after all  a sports scientist and can sometimes see things a bit too black and white, He has the makings of a premiership coach, I think we may be up for a flag in 2009.

    Fingers Crossed.

I think a change of coach may set us back alot further than two years.
