Former Australian cricketer, Neil Harvey, has termed the Indian batting star, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Donald-George-Bradman-c54397, claiming that the legend is always worth watching when he is on the pitch.
Bradman was the batting king of his time. He played 52 Test matches and scored 6996 runs with an excellent average of 99.94. Apart from this, he set a record 177 centuries in first-class cricket. The legend lived from 1908 to 2001. He played his maiden and
his last Test matches against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013.
On the contrary, Tendulkar is the top scorer of all times in both Test and ODI formats. With 22 years in international cricket, the Master Blaster has 99 centuries to his credit and is vying for the 100th one in Team India’s ongoing Test series
against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746.
Harvey, who himself had an outstanding batting average of 48.41 in the Test format, wants to go to the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) and watch Tendlya play in the 2nd Test which started on January 3.
While speaking to the media today, he said, “I will go (to the SCG) and wish him well. He's probably been the best player since Bradman. Good luck to him. I just wouldn't like to see him go on for too long.”
He further said, “I know there is a lot going on in Tendulkar's mind. There are huge expectations from even the Australian crowds. He would be better off trying to play some shots and get on top of the bowling. I just love watching him play.”
Harvey remembers the God of Cricket’s second international ton scored at the SCG in 1992. "I remember that knock (148 not out). Being so young (19), he had no fear in those days,” stated the ex-batsman.
Sachin has failed miserably to score his 100th ton in the last 6 months. His 99th hundred came during the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 Cricket World Cup 2011. In the opening Test of the ongoing series, he retired on 73. Harvey suggests the batting guru not to take pressure
from the Oz fans and play confidently to achieve his milestone.
