Neil Robertson leads Ali Carter 10-6 after the second session’s play in the semi-final of the snooker world championship.
Australian Robertson came out in the first frame of the morning and extended his lead from 6-2 with a superb break of 140 after he knocked in a great opening red. Robertson was then in first with a break of 18 in the second, but his missed red gave Carter his first chance of the morning. However, Carter missed a red into the bottom left pocket with the rest to give Robertson another chance. He made a break of 36 but failed to pot the red with the rest as well. The Captain made a break of 35, but potted the cueball after he knocked in the final black. A battle on the green resulted in Robertson taking it on and Carter clearing for a re-spotted black. Carter took on a risky black, but left it in the jaws and the 28-year-old Robertson took the frame to lead 8-2.
