The wind forecast showed some strong winds on first day of the event, as a breeze of up to 30 knots aided by some heavy gusts wafted around the racing area at Largs Sailing Club. Such a strong breeze nearly made it impossible to have a complete race on the
first day.
However, Day 2 of the championship greeted the 26 boat multi-class Scottish fleet with moderated winds blowing over the race course from 5 to 18 knots. The first race commenced under little breeze, approximately up to six knots, but as the day progressed,
the winds showed their stronger side which made racing more exciting on the final day.
