  1. I expect that our species will be making discoveries for 10,000 generations to come -- and then some.

    I wouldn't limit any potential and future knowledge to either field. New fields are likely to emerge that will bring our species along.

    Science and philosophy do provide a means to test the limits of our capability. One scientist, for example, asking questions of anothers research can lead to something that had not been discerned before. One philosophers review of another theories can lead to refinement and improvement.

Because what cannot be discerned cannot be comprehended.  Even if Science and Philosophy say what it is true and no one comprehend it, it is just state the limit of the person to comprehend for that particular aspect.  Also what Science and Philosophy say could not be deemed absolute truth, simply because you accepted it.  The mind is so complex and dynamic, but it can be simple and at peace.
