The two teams locked horns for the third place on Saturday, December 17, and drew blanks in the allotted 90 minutes. The Qatari outfit won 5-3 on penalties.
The Reysol manager reckons that his side played beyond their potential but they were unlucky not to finish third after dominating for majority of the 90 minutes. The manager further showed confidence in his abilities and assured
of his stay as the Sun Kings manager despite slipping badly in his own backyard.
He opined that the Club World Cup was a tough test for his young side and praised them for performing well against top teams.

The manager of the J-League Champions has vowed to promote youth players and insists that there will be no panic buying after the defeat.
